What is Reiki?

Reiki is hands-on therapeutic practice. It opens your body to the gentle flow of healing energy. During a Reiki treatment, the practitioner holds hand positions over or on specific positions on the body for several minutes at a time. The client relaxes on a massage table or in a chair, fully clothed. You may experience deep relaxation during the treatment and a sensation of warmth or tingling. Sessions are typically 30-60 minutes in length. However, Reiki keeps working long after the session is over. Though many experiences the benefits of Reiki immediately, others may find that its impact takes time to be fully realized. Reiki relieves stress and helps bring balance and vitality to your life. It enhances conventional medical and psychological therapies. Reiki helps alleviate pain, chronic fatigue, and symptoms of long-term illness.  It is a safe non-invasive way to take charge of your own health.
